Wal-Mart Stores to require data loggers

Oct 5, 2005 9:43 AM, from staff and wire reports

Suppliers of perishable commodities to Wal-Mart Stores will have to implement DeltaTRAK In-Transit FlashLink Data Loggers as part of the retail giant's critical cold chain management.

Wal-Mart researched various temperature recording systems and decided to use an electronic data logging program at each of its distribution centers. Data loggers are mandatory on every pre-cooled shipment to the firm's food distribution centers.

The system from Pleasanton CA-based DeltaTRAK monitors and records temperature, humidity, and pH levels.
