Knowledge Solutions LLC has successfully upgraded the United States Cold Storage Inc (USCS) enterprise software applications from Lawson Software.

USCS provides logistic systems to the frozen and refrigerated food industry and is a leading national public refrigerated warehouse operator with a network of facilities across the United States. Knowledge Solutions and the USCS Information Technology department partnered to bring the Lawson iSeries environment and applications to the latest 9.0.1 release to take advantage of upgraded technology.

Before the upgrade, Knowledge Solutions iSeries technicians performed a review of USCS existing environment and developed a comprehensive plan and approach.

“Knowledge Solutions’ guiding principle was to involve the USCS team right from the start to be sure all plans and methodologies were understood,” said Tim Brennan, director of information systems.

Ron Parks, president of Knowledge Solutions, said, “The project was completed within USCS budget and time constraints, allowing USCS to move forward with additional planned Lawson projects on schedule.”
