IO, a provider of next-generation modular data center technology and services, has been awarded a contract by Southern Foodservice Management Inc, a supplier of onsite dining, catering, and vending services.

As part of the agreement, IO will provide Southern Foodservice Management with Data Center as a Service (DCaaS) delivered out of the IO Phoenix AZ data center.

“We are committed to providing that ‘Something Extra’ to our customers, and that means we need to have the reliable infrastructure in place to support our productivity and business nationwide,” said Tom Waldrop, IT director, Southern Foodservice Management. “IO delivers the reliability and cost efficiency we need and allows us to focus our internal IT resources on supporting our customer needs rather than managing our data center.”

IO Phoenix is the largest commercially available data center in the United States to achieve Tier III Design Certification from the Uptime Institute.

Founded in 1951, Birmingham AL-headquartered Southern Foodservice Management provides services to business and industry, education, and government clients nationwide.

IO is a privately held company headquartered in Phoenix. For more information, visit www.io.com.
