Pegasus TransTech has extended its agreement to provide TRANSFLO Express truckstop scanning services through December 31, 2014, for Swift Transportation Company. Swift first began using TRANSFLO Express in 2009 to provide same-day access to delivery documents, reduce costs, and speed cash flow.
Ginnie Henkels, executive vice-president and chief financial officer at Swift, said, “We believe TRANSFLO Express helps us efficiently streamline our customer billing and driver payroll processes to facilitate superior service.”
With this service, drivers simply hand their trip documents to a trained fuel desk attendant for scanning at almost 800 truckstop locations nationwide and in Canada. In seconds, these documents are delivered electronically to the company for immediate billing and payroll processing.
Based in Phoenix AZ, Swift operates a tractor fleet of more than 16,000 units comprised of more than 12,000 tractors driven by company drivers and 4,000 owner-operator tractors, a fleet of 49,000 trailers, and 5,700 intermodal containers from 34 major terminals positioned near major freight centers and traffic lanes in the United States and Mexico.
