GeoLogic offers wireless vehicle software upgrades

GeoLogic Solutions is providing over-the-air software downloading capabilities. Used for MobileMax software upgrades and enhancements, the ability to perform this task wirelessly using Cingular's GPRS network means that fleets no longer have to physically “touch” their trucks every time an upgrade is needed.
With more than 2,200 trucks in 72 different locations, Lexington SC-based Southeastern Freight Lines predicts that over-the-air software downloads for its MobileMax systems will save them “hundreds of man-hours,” according to Dave Robinson, vice-president of MIS at the company.
