Headwater acquires Delfour assets

Headwater Technology Solutions Inc has acquired the assets of Delfour, a developer and marketer of third-party logistics systems for ambient and temperature-controlled warehousing.
Both companies are based in Markham, Ontario, enabling Headwater to continue its development programs and client support without interruption as the Headwater Technology Solutions Supply Chain Business division. Former Delfour president Joe E Couto will head the new division as a senior vice-president.
The combination of companies is expected to offer opportunities for cross-marketing into the respective environments. Headwater Technology Solutions has a strong North American presence. Delfour is a leader in the Canadian and United States temperature-controlled warehouse field, with systems in place at eight of the International Association of Refrigerated Warehouses (IARW) Top 20, many smaller refrigerated facilities, and both single and multi-facility ambient temperature warehouse installations.
