Rand McNally has launched a new commercial trucking module that integrates lane rate information and analysis with the company's IntelliRoute suite. The IntelliRoute Lane Rates module uses data compiled from more than 12 million actual and current freight bills from truckload carriers.

Using IntelliRoute Lane Rates, truckload carriers can evaluate lanes throughout the continental United States and Canada, and bid more effectively. Users with Internet access also can view rate trends, reliable market information that helps them review current lanes and gives them options for bidding on new routes.

IntelliRoute Lane Rates relies on data from Truckloadrate.com, an online service that provides current rate information and analysis. Truckloadrate.com's data is collected from carriers' dispatch systems after the freight has been billed. Truckloadrate.com compiles and updates this information monthly and computes average rates from the aggregate freight bill data.
