Michelin, Honeywell form eTire agreement

Michelin North America and Honeywell have announced a three-year agreement to service and support the Michelin eTire System, an electronic tire monitoring system that provides fleet managers with tire pressure and tracking information.
Honeywell Automation and Control Solutions will handle installation of the eTire System. In addition, Honeywell will provide customer service and support for current and new customers using Michelin's eTire System.
The eTire System incorporates an InTire Sensor, sidewall-mounted SensorDock, Hand-Held or Drive-By Reader, and BIB TRACK software to accurately capture and instantly report tire pressure, wheel position, and maintenance information.
The customized information is gathered and reported via the Internet, enabling maintenance managers to track tire information accurately and monitor inventories.
