Tags monitor warming of refrigerated goods

Mar 1, 2004 12:00 PM

Telatemp Corp offers WarmMark Time-Temp Tags that monitor warming temperatures of refrigerated products during shipping and storage. Response temperatures and run-out times (length of exposure time to a certain temperature) vary with each WarmMark product. Tags are available in temperatures from -18° C (0° F) to 37° C (99° F).

When warmed above the tag's rated temperature, the three indicating windows will turn progressively red. The permanent color movement through the windows indicates the duration about the rated temperature and/or extreme temperature spikes. The higher the exposure temperature is above the response temperature, the faster the color moves through the windows. The color movement slows and stops if ambient temperature cools below response temperature.

These 1.81" × 0.75" × 0.06" (4.6 × 1.9 × 0.15 cm) tags are accurate to ±1° C. They can be stored at room temperature or in cold storage. Pre-conditioning before use is required, and instructions are included with each order. Storage at or below the pre-conditioning temperature will enhance the two-year shelf life from date of manufacture.
