Cast, the transatlantic shipping line, has relaunched its web site with more facilities and simpler access to information.
Through “Electronic Shipper,” users can request rates, make bookings, download bills of lading, and sign up for sailing schedule information to be e-mailed to them. This cuts out the paperwork and reduces the potential for error.
The “Sailing Schedule” section includes a Point to Point facility and all up-to-date schedules for the five routes Cast operates between North America and North Europe/the Mediterranean. Through Point to Point, users can find the most convenient sailing for shipping cargo from origin to destination.
In the “Service Directory” section are details of all services, including inland cut-off days, transit times, and all ports of call. It also gives details about container specifications, carriage of hazardous goods, and ships operating the routes.
Users also can track their shipments in real time via “Container Tracking,” find contact details for their local office, and catch up with the latest news.
