TransCore announces the release of Keypoint Logistics version 2.14, a new version of its transportation management system (TMS) software that improves third-party logistics (3PL) providers' ability to serve shippers' outsourced logistics needs.

Version 2.14 introduces a new Events Module that automatically e-mails, faxes, or triggers a third-party application to notify appropriate personnel and business partners of a change in shipment status. Keypoint Logistics 2.14 also contains enhanced electronic data interchange functions that meet the standard for processing messages between shippers and their partners.

Keypoint Logistics is one of the only TMS packages for 3PLs that integrates functions for accounting, dispatch, and operations in a single system. It is also one of the only 3PL-specific TMS packages that can handle multiple modes of transportation: air, rail, truckload, LTL, consolidation, intermodal segment planning (truck-rail-truck), and international freight.
