USCS signs networking pact with Qwest

Jan 1, 2008 12:00 PM

Qwest Communications International Inc has signed a multi-year data networking agreement with United States Cold Storage Inc (USCS), a public refrigerated warehousing and third-party logistics company based in Voorhees NJ.

As primary data networking provider, Qwest will connect 30 USCS storage and distribution centers in 12 states with Qwest iQ Networking Services wide-area network (WAN) system. USCS will use iQ Networking to transfer critical data over Qwest's secure network as it stores, tracks, and ships six billion pounds of temperature-sensitive foods each year.

USCS is also taking advantage of Qwest's Integrated Management service. Integrated Management allows USCS to focus on its core business while Qwest manages its data network.
