Mack employees help keep thunder rolling

Jul 1, 2006 12:00 PM

Employees at the New River Valley Plant in Dublin VA, where all Mack highway products are produced, again paid tribute to this nation's fallen and missing heroes by participating in the Rolling Thunder — Ride for Freedom event in Washington DC.

Working with the Veteran's Committee of the United Autoworkers Local 2069, the men and women of NRV produced a special Mack Vision model featuring a collage of images reflecting the cost of freedom associated with all wars. The truck served as a rolling color guard for more than 200 Dublin-area motorcyclists who left the New River Valley plant May 27 for Washington DC to join thousands of others in the annual Memorial Day weekend Rolling Thunder — Ride for Freedom parade honoring those killed or missing in action.
