Navistar International Corp announced that Daniel C Ustian, president and chief executive officer, has assumed operating responsibility for the company's truck group, effective immediately. J Steven Keate, who had served as president of the truck group since June 1999, has left the company. Keate joined the firm in March 1995 as vice-president and corporate controller and later headed heavy-truck operations. Ustian previously led Navistar International's engine operation.
ArvinMeritor Inc has appointed Craig Pryor vice-president — operations, axles and drivelines, for its Commercial Vehicle Systems group. He previously served as vice-president and general manager — access control systems for ArvinMeritor's Light Vehicle Systems group.
John Coll has been named general manager of Roadranger Aftermarket Division, replacing Jeff Romig, who was named Eaton Corp's vice-president of supplier resource management in January. Coll joined Eaton in January 2001 as director — global channel marketing for the Cutler-Hammer Group.
Marmon-Herrington has promoted Tyler Bean to general manager. He spent the past three years working as controller for the company.
Mike Brammer, formerly president of Carlisle Industrial Brake & Friction, has been named president of Carlisle Motion Control Industries Inc. Carlisle recently combined its Motion Control operation with that of Industrial Brake & Friction. Brammer will head the new group.
Goodyear's commercial tire division has named Dan Martin general manager of original equipment and strategic accounts. He joined Goodyear a year ago as general manager — commercial tires, West.
Transportation Technologies Industries Inc (TTI) has named John Schneider regional director of sales. Most recently, he was senior account manager for Freightliner. Dan DeBord has been appointed an account representative and will work from TTI's Portland sales office. He previously held sales positions with responsibility for customer sales and technical support.
BorgWarner Emissions/Thermal Systems, formerly BorgWarner Cooling Systems, has appointed Mark Linton director of fleet and aftermarket sales. He has more than 14 years' experience in commercial truck component sales.
Tuthill Corp has appointed Jim Wilfore president of Tuthill Transport Technologies. He served as president of Fontaine Trailer Co for 18 years and is a current director and past chairman of the board of the Truck Trailer Manufacturers Association. Ron Harman has been named executive vice-president — operations and will be responsible for operations in both the United States and Canada.
Grote Industries has named Charlie Kasper vice-president — customer relations. He has previously held positions in sales, marketing, and customer service at the company. John Grote, who most recently served as marketing manager, has been named aftermarket sales director. Matt Forner has been promoted from director of business development to division manager — traditional sales. Chris Cammack has been named brand manager. He most recently served as assistant marketing manager. Mike Grote, who had been southeast OEM sales manager, has been named national fleet sales manager.
Tectran Mfg Inc has appointed John Rayburn to the newly created position of sales manager responsible for the company's southern United States territory. He has more than 25 years' experience in the heavy-duty parts industry.
Alvey Systems has appointed Kevin Kozuszek manager of marketing communications for FKI Logistex Alvey Systems and White Systems, members of the FKI Logistex Manufacturers Team. He has served as Alvey Systems' marketing manager since June 1999.
