C&S Wholesale Grocers Inc has named Agribuys as its technology partner for perishable products e-procurement. This long-term relationship was established in the final quarter of 2004 after C&S reviewed and evaluated the Agribuys platform.

Agribuys also announced that the first stage of implementation for produce procurement went “live” in early February at C&S. At full rollout, this program will extend Agribuys’ deployment of both its collaborative supply chain management software and marketplace services throughout all C&S perishables procurement operations.

The Agribuys technology is a hosted, collaborative commerce system. It enables end-to-end transactions between a grocer’s procurement and back-end accounting and warehousing systems, and the corresponding systems at its suppliers and transportation carriers.
