Ballard’s extends voluntary product recall

Ballard's Farm Sausage Inc has extended its voluntary recall of its macaroni salad, sweet slaw, and cole slaw because of possible Listeria contamination.

According to the Food and Drug Administration, this recall affects the Ballard’s brand 24-ounce Amish macaroni salad, 24-oz Amish sweet slaw, and 12-oz cole slaw, along with Food City 12-oz cole slaw. This is in addition to the October 18 recall of Ballard's 12-oz egg salad.

The products were distributed in Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Virginia, Illinois, Indiana, Georgia, Florida, North and South Carolina, Delaware, Michigan, and Alabama.

Consumers can return products to the location of purchase for a full refund. Those with questions may phone Ballard’s at 800-346-7675.
