Hill nominated to take the wheel at FMCSA

John H Hill, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) chief safety officer and assistant administrator, has been nominated to head the agency as administrator.

The White House made the announcement of President Bush’s nomination May 16. Hill came to FMCSA from the Indiana State Police, where he was the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division commander.

In other news from FMCSA, David H Hugle has been selected for deputy administrator. He served three years as Maryland Division of Motor Vehicles administrator.
