Manhattan Associates Inc will implement its supply chain system at Cheney Brothers Inc, one of the largest foodservice distributors in the South.
Cheney Brothers will deploy Manhattan's Slotting Optimization to support its expanding business, establishing the system as the standard for optimizing warehouse space at both its existing facility and its planned new facility.
Slotting Optimization lets Cheney Brothers determine proper storage locations that will maximize space utilization, reduce replenishment trips, and boost picking productivity in the distribution center. It can ensure that items are slotted in proper rack types, using racking requirements set by Cheney Brothers.
