Coldwall expands testing with Rio Blanco

Apr 11, 2005 9:18 AM, from staff and wire reports

Bellevue WA-based Coldwall Inc has agreed to an expansion of the testing program underway with Exportadora Rio Blanco Ltda, based in Santiago, Chile.

The expanded testing program will include sea trials of different fruits over the next several months and will focus on “en route” temperature uniformity within Coldwall’s M1-Rb reefer container compared with conventional reefer containers presently used by Rio Blanco.

Rio Blanco exports fruits including kiwifruits, plums, oranges, cherries, grapes, and avocados to markets in Europe, the United Kingdom, North America, and Asia.

Coldwall is the developer and owner of United States and China patents for technology that allows temperature-controlled cargos to be shipped at uniform temperatures. Employed in all of its ISO refrigerated intermodal shipping containers, Coldwall technology results in better refrigeration and less spoilage for its cargos.
