Averitt to serve Costco's Texas locations

Costco Wholesale Corp has selected Averitt Express to provide transportation and supply chain management services for its warehouse club operations in Texas.

Under terms of the contract, Averitt is providing Costco with transportation and supply chain management consisting of several transportation modes. Averitt will handle the transportation of all retail items for the selected Costco warehouse club stores, including meat and poultry products.

Averitt will also employ on-site personnel to coordinate outbound transportation from Costco’s distribution center in Dallas TX.

With 12 warehouses in Texas, Costco operates a total of 460 warehouses. These include 338 in the United States and Puerto Rico, 65 in Canada, 16 in the United Kingdom, five in Korea, four in Taiwan, five in Japan, and 27 in Mexico.
