Cronos Group net income stays shipshape

The Cronos Group, a major lessor of intermodal containers including refrigerated units, reported net income of $2.1 million for the second quarter of 2004 compared with net income of $419,000 for the corresponding period in 2003. Total revenues were $34 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2004, versus $30.5 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2003.
During the first six months of 2004, Cronos added $59.1 million of new container equipment, representing a 5% increase to its fleet. Net income for the six months ended June 30, 2004 was $2.9 million compared with $918,000 for the same period a year earlier. Total revenues for the first six months of 2004 were $68.1 million, versus $61 million for the six months ended June 30, 2003.
