Manhattan Associates Inc now offers its Integrated Planning Solutions for Food as well as its Integrated Logistics Solutions for Food. This enhances the ability of food and grocery wholesalers and retailers to tighten their supply chain processes and extend visibility from demand to consumption.

The firm also continues to enhance its Integrated Logistics Solutions for Food. One of its recent updates included its transportation system, Fleet Management, which provides visibility to en-route assets and helps optimize planned and opportunistic backhauls and tandem loads.

Nearly 100 food industry clients use Manhattan's supply chain systems, including Hawkeye Foodservice Distribution Inc, Raley's supermarket chain, and Sara Lee Foods.

Larry Rogers, vice-president of integrated logistics at Sara Lee Food and Beverage, said, “Through the use of Manhattan Associates’ RFID Solutions, Sara Lee became the first provider of frozen and refrigerated foods to ship into the retailer’s facilities with RFID tags on cases and pallets.”
