Investment firm to acquire RedPrairie

Technology-focused investment company Francisco Partners has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire RedPrairie Corp, a privately held supplier of warehouse management systems. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
RedPrairie becomes the third leading WMS vendor to be acquired in 2005, preceded by Optum and Delfour. The firm has retained UBS Securities LLC as its financial advisor and Pepper Hamilton LLP as its outside legal counsel. Providing legal advice to Francisco Partners is O'Melveny & Myers.
