Frozen Food Express revenue rises in 3Q

For the quarter ended Sept 30, 2005, Frozen Food Express Industries Inc's total revenue increased 11.7% to $137.5 million from $123.1 million during the same quarter of 2004.
In 2005’s third quarter, operating income for the Dallas TX-based carrier gained 83.2% to $8.9 million from $4.8 million during the same period of 2004. Net income climbed 41.4% to $5.0 million, compared with $3.5 million during the same period of 2004.
For the nine months ended Sept 30, 2005, total revenue rose 9.2% to $382.2 million from $350.2 million during the comparable period of 2004.
Operating income for the first nine months of 2005 surged 55.8% to $20.5 million from $13.2 million in the same period of 2004. Net income for the nine months ended Sept 30, 2005, was $14.1 million, versus $9.0 million in the same period of 2004.
