Gorton's reels in King & Prince Seafood

Gorton’s Inc and King & Prince Seafood Corp have announced that the merger agreement for the acquisition of the Brunswick GA seafood company by Gorton’s has been completed, and that the transaction closed effective July 1, 2005.
A wholly owned subsidiary of Nippon Suisan (USA) Inc, Gorton’s provides frozen seafood products in United States and Canadian retail markets.
King & Prince Seafood is a 56-year-old producer of shrimp and seafood for American restaurants and food retailers. It has received several industry, customer, and culinary awards of excellence.
