Grocery Outlet is continuing to expand its presence in the Northwest with the addition of six new stores in Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, and Washington, and the relocation of two stores in Oregon. The new store openings bring to eight the number of stores that the grocer has opened since November 2004 in the Northwest and Northern California.
The newest stores are in Florence and Scappoose OR; Federal Way, Kenmore, Auburn, and Lynnwood WA; and, Nampa ID. The Nampa, Florence, Scappoose, and Auburn stores will open this spring, followed by the Reno store in summer. Federal Way, Kenmore, and Lynnwood opened earlier in 2005.
The Milwaukie OR store is moving to a new location in April, and the Klamath Falls OR store is undergoing extensive remodeling and should reopen in April. Additionally, the Chehalis WA and Eureka CA stores reopened with new buildings and locations. Each new store will be about 20,000 square feet and employ around 20 full- and part-time workers.
