The 700,000th truck produced by Kenworth Truck Co was purchased by long-time customer James H Clark & Son Inc, a Salt Lake City UT-based refrigerated goods carrier.
This milestone truck is a new 2006 Model W900 with 72" AeroCab Aerodyne sleeper. Jeff Clark, co-owner and vice-president of James H Clark & Son Inc, and former company president James C Clark, son of the company’s founder, attended a ceremony with Kenworth plant employees in Renton WA. The Clarks were presented with the keys to the new vehicle by Kenworth-Renton plant manager Doug Baugh, Kenworth general sales manager Bill Kozek, and Kyle Treadway, dealer principal of selling dealer Kenworth Sales Co in Salt Lake City.
James H Clark & Son Inc purchased its first Kenworth truck in the 1950s. The firm mainly operates W900 and T800 models in its fleet of 164 trucks. The new W900 will go to one of the fleet’s senior drivers.
