McGreevy gets a bigger slice of meat market

In a move that will broaden its market area, McGreevy Midwest Meat Co, based in Wichita KS, is switching its distribution to EVCO Wholesale Food Corp. McGreevy plans to dispose of its trucks, transfer its six drivers into other positions with the company, and concentrate on meat processing.
Emporia KS-based EVCO distributes in Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma. McGreevy's distribution area was just within 75 miles of Wichita. This deal also lets EVCO market fresh-cut meat steaks instead of frozen steaks.
Established more than 75 years ago, McGreevy has a staff of 41 employees.
