Seminar aims to thwart thieves, terrorists

The National Cargo Security Council has organized its first-ever Cargo Security Technology Seminar, in which two-dozen security experts will share the latest technology to outwit cargo thieves and terrorists.

It will be held July 18–20, 2004, at the Maritime Institute of Technology and Graduate Studies (MITAGS) in Linthicum Heights MD, less than five miles from BWI Airport.

This seminar comprises 12 sessions on key cargo security issues, from an Overview of Smart Containers and Port Automation to Perimeter Protection and Tracking Devices.

The seminar is designed for anyone involved with supply chain security, from manufacturers, transport carriers, service/solution providers and government sectors. Security vendors will display the latest technology to protect the nation’s commerce and thwart terrorist attacks.
