Nash Finch taking more orders from military
Feb 7, 2005 8:50 AM, from staff and wire reports
Nash Finch Co has expanded its service to commissaries at five additional military bases in two more states, Colorado and Wyoming. The new service will take effect April 1, 2005.
The company also has consolidated military operations from its Minot ND facility into its Omaha NE facility, effective on the same date. Nash Finch says this move will be seamless to military installations served in North Dakota and brings advantages including increased fill rates, greater economies of scale, and a wider array of items from one source.
With nearly $4 billion in fiscal year 2003 revenues, Nash Finch has a food distribution business that serves independent retailers and military commissaries in 27 states, the District of Columbia, Europe, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Iceland, the Azores, and Honduras.
