Nissui puts F W Bryce seafood on its plate

Apr 7, 2006 9:15 AM, from staff and wire reports

Nippon Suisan (USA) plans to acquire F W Bryce Inc as part of a stock purchase agreement. A 59-year-old business based in Gloucester MA, Bryce is devoted to sales, marketing, and distribution of frozen fish and seafood into the United States market. Its product offerings have been mainly whitefish, farm-raised Atlantic salmon, and snow crab.

Established in 1974, Nippon Suisan (USA) is the holding and supervising company for all Nissui group companies in North America. That portfolio consists of Unisea Inc and Alaska Ocean, which harvest and process Alaska seafood resources; and Gorton’s, King & Prince, and Fishking, which manufacture and distribute frozen fish and shrimp products for retail and foodservice customers.
