Firm to produce biodiesel for truck fleets

Peach State Labs, a specialty polymer chemical company, plans to produce biodiesel—made from soybean oils and other renewable plant oils—for use in diesel truck fleets and for manufacturing plant energy.
The company is on track to produce 60,000 gallons of Soymet renewable source biofuels per month starting in August 2004, and plans to produce 3 million gallons per month by late 2005.
Renewable fuels legislation being considered for Senate energy packages could boost the United States economy by $300 billion and create as many as 300,000 new jobs by 2016, according to the National Biodiesel Board.
Increased use of American-made fuels such as biodiesel and ethanol would generate another $71 billion of income for the United States over the next 15 years through increased gross production and job creation. For more information, access www.biodiesel.org/.
