Online grocer adds two DCs in New Jersey

Internet grocer Peapod LLC and Stop & Shop have added two new distribution centers in New Jersey. Service to additional ZIP codes in central New Jersey began delivery November 29.

The new distribution center in Wanaque will deliver to communities in New Jersey such as Ridgewood, Paramus, Fair Lawn, Hawthorne, and Saddle River. In early 2006, the service area will expand to include such towns as Mahwah, Wayne, Westwood, and Parsippany. The distribution center in Somerset will service residents in towns such as Hillsborough, Somerset, New Brunswick, Old Bridge, and Sayreville. In early 2006, more towns including Cranbury, Princeton, Englishtown, and Trenton will be added to the service area.
