Prime Inc, the Springfield MO-based refrigerated carrier, has awarded Carrier Transicold an order for 3,000 Ultima XTC refrigeration units as part of a major fleet upgrade and expansion. The agreement includes an option to purchase another 2,000 units for a total of 5,000.

“We conducted a thorough assessment of leading refrigeration units to identify the best solution for our operation,” said Robert Low, founder and chief executive officer of Prime Inc. “After much due diligence, we found that Carrier Transicold possesses exceptional refrigeration unit design and technology.”

Tom Ondo, general manager, Truck/Trailer/Rail Americas for Carrier Transicold, said,“The strength and expertise of our dealer network played a vital role in securing this order, as exemplified by our local Springfield dealer, MHC Carrier Transicold.”

Carrier Transicold's premier trailer refrigeration unit, the Ultima XTC offers superior performance, reliability, and a sophisticated controller and fuel management technology: the Advance microprocessor.
