Smart & Final extends UWG agreement

Smart & Final Inc has extended its existing agreement with Unified Western Grocers (UWG) to supply Smart & Final’s stores in the Pacific Northwest and portions of Northern California. The agreement between the companies extends the supply arrangement to November 2008, with an additional two-year extension option.
Under the agreement, UWG will continue to supply selected stores with food products, perishables, and dry goods as well as provide certain support services to Smart & Final’s Cash & Carry format stores. Smart & Final operates 48 Cash & Carry stores in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Northern California.
