Vistar Corp plans to purchase Donsons

Vistar Corp, the Denver CO-based distributor of food products and related supplies, has signed a purchase agreement to acquire Donsons Distributing Inc. The purchase is expected to close by the middle of April.
Headquartered in Denver and founded in 1957, Donsons is an independent foodservice distributor serving eating establishments, healthcare facilities, schools, and institutions.
George Holm, president and chief executive officer of Vistar, said, “Our strategy in this market is to operate two great businesses. The acquisition of Donsons will offer us two facilities in Denver, allowing us to better service our distinctive customer bases, specialty markets, and foodservice.”
