Wrigley Co recognizes carrier excellence

The Wrigley Co has inaugurated carrier recognition awards honoring excellent performance in these categories: less than truckload (pool distribution), full truckload, and intermodal truckload service.
Award winners for 2005 for LTL service, Category I, are Safeway Trucking Co; Category II, Taylor Distribution Co; and Category III, W J Beitler Co. Categories are determined by volume, and winner selection criteria includes reporting accuracy and timeliness, on-time delivery, and total claims processed versus orders handled.
For full truckload service, winners are: Category I, Gemini Traffic Sales Inc; and Category II, Kennedy Transportation Co. Categories are determined by geography, and selection criteria includes on-time pick-up and delivery, equipment availability, customer service, and tracing capabilities.
The award winner for intermodal truckload service is Alliance Shippers Inc. Selection criteria is similar to that for full truckload service.
