YoCream sales, net income sour slightly

YoCream International Inc, the Portland OR-based manufacturer and wholesaler of frozen desserts and smoothies, reported financial results for the third quarter and nine months ended July 31, 2004.
Third-quarter sales were $5,907,000, compared with $6,636,000 in the third quarter of 2003. For the nine months ended July 31, 2004, sales were $14,213,000, versus $15,500,000 for the same period in 2003.
Net income for the third quarter was approximately $189,000, compared with $336,000 for the same period in 2003. For the nine-month period in 2004, net income was about $349,000, in contrast with $485,000 for the comparable period a year earlier.
