Covenant orders up to 500 Volvo VN tractors

Covenant Transport Inc has ordered as many as 500 Volvo VN tractors for delivery in third-quarter 2003, according to Volvo Trucks North America.Chattanooga TN-based Covenant is one of the largest truckload carriers in the United States and specializes in just-in-time and other premium services.
A new Volvo customer, Covenant has ordered VN670 sleeper cabs powered by Cummins ISX engines. The new trucks will be used in single-driver service.
