Ford exec to head International truck group

International Truck and Engine Corp has selected Ford Motor Co executive Dee Kapur as president of its truck group, ending a four-month search for a new leader.

He replaces Steve Keate, who headed the group from 1999 until he left the company April 23. Daniel C Ustian, president and chief executive officer of parent company Navistar, assumed KeateÕs role on an interim basis. Kapur was also was named a member of the companyÕs executive council, which has responsibility for the overall operating results and strategic direction of the company.

Kapur spent nearly 27 years with Ford, most recently as executive directorÐFord Outfitters for the companyÕs North American truck operations.
