Harris Teeter aims to enhance supply chain

Harris Teeter plans to use viaLink’s data synchronization and advanced supply chain services to improve communication between stores and suppliers, according to the viaLink Co.The full spectrum of viaLink services will be applied to Harris Teeter’s supply chain operations, from basic commerce-level data synchronization to scan-based trading and viaLink invoicing services. In addition, viaLink will serve as Harris Teeter’s agent for UCCnet.
A wholly owned subsidiary of Ruddick Corp, Harris Teeter is a regional supermarket chain with 142 stores serving a six-state market. Headquartered in Matthews NC, it ranks as the 39th-largest supermarket chain in the United States.
