PAM’s acquisition creates McNeill Express

Apr 9, 2003 12:00 PM, from staff and wire reports

PAM Transportation Services Inc has closed the acquisition of McNeill Trucking Inc of Little Rock AR. A wholly owned subsidiary of the company acquired assets of McNeill Trucking and will operate the new business as McNeill Express Inc.

Bob Weaver, president and chief executive officer of Tontitown AR-based PAM, said, “The addition of McNeill will give us added capacity to handle additional freight demands from our customers as well as a strategic location for both equipment maintenance and driver recruiting. Much of our freight traffic is routed directly through Little Rock, which will decrease the need for the use of outside repair vendors.”

McNeill Trucking assets include 125 tractors and 220 trailers. The company offered refrigerated and dry van carriage as well as logistics services.

PAM is a truckload dry van carrier that operates in the lower 48 states, Ontario, and Quebec. It also provides transportation services in Mexico under agreements with Mexican carriers.
