Weller retires from board

Frozen Food Express Industries Inc. today announced that long-time board member Edgar O. Weller has retired from the board. Jerry T. Armstrong, a veteran of more than 40 years in the trucking transportation business, will replace him.Weller, a founder of the company and the board's vice chairman, served from 1978-1984 as the board's chairman & CEO.
Weller has been named a Senior Advisor to the board.
Armstrong will serve until the company's 2003 annual meeting when he will be a candidate for shareholder election to the board. He is chairman & CEO of Wind Associates Inc.
