Truckload carriers choose new president

The Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) has selected Christopher W Burruss to be president, pending approval from the board of directors. His position is expected to be ratified in an upcoming meeting March 14.

Burruss is active in the trucking industry serving on the executive committee and board of directors of the American Trucking Associations, as well as on its Intermodal Committee. He also serves on the Advanced Transportation Research Institute’s Research Advisory Committee and the board of directors of Heavy Vehicle Electronic License Plate Inc (HELP).

Previously, Burruss spent five years as president and chief executive officer of the Tennessee Trucking Association. From 1991 to 1999, he served as vice-president of the Missouri Motor Carriers Association.
