Hulk Kombo Dock provides muscle,
flexibility in limited loading spaces

Aug 16, 2010 7:00 AM

The Hulk Kombo Dock by Kelley is designed for facilities with limited loading dock space, offering them the flexibility of a scissors lift and the efficiency of a hydraulic dock leveler. With a vertical range of up to 60 inches, the Kombo Dock is able to load and unload nearly any type of vehicle that pulls into the loading dock area.

Design highlights include a hydraulic dock leveler with regenerative hydraulics, independent powered lip control, and push-button controls.

The dock leveler can be equipped with the Energy Guard perimeter seal for additional energy savings.

The independent hydraulic scissors lift has a lifting capacity of up to 20,000 lbs and enables dock-to-grade forklift access. The Kombo Dock also includes quick-connect-style electrical cables with a NEMA 4x hand control for a fast, simple, and less expensive installation. It can be interlocked with dock doors, vehicle restraints, and other equipment via a master control panel to ensure a safe and reliable sequence of operation.

Safety features of the Kombo Dock include Automatic Return to Dock and an audible alarm with flashing yellow strobe light that activates when the Kombo Dock is not fully stored. Safety velocity fuses on the leveler and lift prevent an uncontrolled descent.

The combination of the versatile scissors lift and hydraulic dock leveler lets facilities service a variety of vehicles and trailer styles, including below-dock trailers. As a replacement for concrete ramps or dock lifts, the Kombo Dock provides versatility for small or multi-use loading docks, enabling years of efficient and reliable productivity.
