Coldwall containers beat the others cold

Bellevue WA-based Coldwall Inc announced final test results for the first of its sea-trials done in cooperation with ENZA/Turners&Growers of New Zealand.
During the four-week sea trial from New Zealand to Antwerp, Belgium, fruit pulp temperatures in four, 40-foot HC refrigerated containers—two Coldwall and two conventional reefer containers—were monitored. Throughout the entire voyage, all the fruit in the Coldwall containers was pulled down to set point and remained at that level throughout the entire voyage. In contrast, none of the fruit in the conventional refrigerated containers even reached set point. In fact, through the Panama Canal and up the East Coast of North America, much of the fruit actually warmed up to about five times the desired set point.
“These results are phenomenal,” said Robert Dale, chief executive officer of Coldwall. “This absolutely confirms and validates our patented Coldwall technology and the tremendous value it will bring to our customers.”
