At the 2010 Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville KY, Dometic Group is showing its new super-size refrigerated container with a full 29 cubic feet of interior capacity.

The refrigerator, which measures 43 inches wide, 55 inches deep, and 39 inches high, is designed to slide into the rear of commercial utility vans such as the new Ford Transit Connect, or mounted on the bed of a pickup truck. Built-in strapdown brackets provide for secure mounting and lifting.

This unit runs on 12-volt DC or 115-volt AC power and can be operated for up to eight hours on its built-in battery without being connected to the power supply. It uses a Danfoss 12-volt compressor. The internal air circulation system ensures good temperature distribution throughout. A digital thermostat allows the setpoint to be adjusted from 32° to 50° F. An optical temperature alarm reports any deviation from the setpoint.

Other features include an adjustable wire shelf system, internal LED lights, double-magnet door-sealing system, and a safety lock that permits the door to be opened from the inside.
