Rich Products has opened a new cold-storage facility in Arlington TN with a capacity of almost 5 million cubic feet. AmeriCold, based in Atlanta GA, will run the plant under contract for Rich Products.
“The building will be state-of-the-art, with advanced energy efficiency and security features like card-only access to protect product integrity,” said Vernon Rose, who is vice-president of business development for AmeriCold.
Forty feet high, this 120,000-square-foot building offers 12,000 pallet positions and 10 dock doors for product storage, handling, and shipment. It has a 45º F palletizing room and a refrigeration system that can maintain temperatures down to –20º F.
