A 115,000-square-foot cold storage distribution plant will be constructed on 13 acres in the Lebanon Valley Business Park in Pennsylvania’s South Lebanon Township. Opening of the Lebanon Valley Cold Storage facility is set for May 1, 2008.

With almost 100 factory employees and administrative associates, the center will distribute various frozen food products to foodservice distributors and retailers.

In a transaction completed August 28, the Lebanon Valley Economic Development Corp received $650,000 for the 13-acre location in the business park.

A majority of shareholders of Lancaster County-based holding company Pennsylvania Food Group owns Lebanon Valley Cold Storage. The group is the holding company for the food processing firm Agrifrost, as well as Unilink, which markets and distributes Agrifrost’s products.

Unilink’s distribution operations will be moved to the Lebanon County facility once the center is completed.
