Nordic Cold Storage, an Atlanta GA-based provider of refrigerated supply chain services, announces the opening of its new Wilmington NC frozen distribution and import/export center. This facility will create 50 new jobs when fully staffed, and provide frozen distribution services for U.S. and international companies.

"The Wilmington Distribution Center expands our network and provides customers with needed capacity near the port. This is our sixth North Carolina facility, and we believe the state is good place to do business," said Don Schoenl, Nordic’s chief executive officer.

Ths Wilmington facility is located minutes from the Port of Wilmington. It offers 3 million cubic feet of capacity, more than 16,000 pallet positions, and has a process blast capacity of 3,500,000 pounds weekly.

The new facility marks the second expansion for Nordic in 2009. The company expanded its Rockmart GA facility, creating 20 new jobs. The Wilmington facility is the 13th in Nordic’s growing Southeast network, strengthening the company’s domestic and international cold chain presence. For more information, visit www.nordiccold.com.
